Alexander Binder is een autodidactische Duitse kunstenaar en fotograaf gevestigd in Stuttgart die een brug slaat tussen digitale en analoge optica. Zijn artistieke praktijk omvat het combineren van moderne SLR-camera's met vintage en zelfgemaakte lenzen om beelden te creëren die gekenmerkt worden door vervaging, apertuurafwijkingen en toevallige reflecties. Hij omarmt opzettelijk imperfectie als strategie, waarbij hij instabiliteit en materiële sporen zichtbaar laat terwijl intuïtie zijn creatieve proces leidt. Het werk van Binder verkent vaak thema's als meditatie, natuur en het snijvlak van materiële en spirituele realiteiten, beïnvloed door een langdurige meditatiepraktijk. Zijn fotografie is internationaal verschenen in publicaties zoals The Guardian, British Journal of Photography en Dazed & Confused, en zijn werk is tentoongesteld in musea en galerieën in Europa, Noord-Amerika en Azië.^[1,2]
