Chris Boot is een vooraanstaande Britse fotografiekurator, boekuitgever en redacteur. Hij heeft belangrijke leidinggevende functies bekleed in de fotografiewereld, waaronder die van Director van zowel het Londense als het New Yorkse kantoor van Magnum Photos van 1990 tot 1998. Ook was hij Editorial Director of Photography bij Phaidon Press en diende hij als Executive Director van de Aperture Foundation in New York van 2011 tot 2021. In 2001 richtte hij zijn eigen uitgeverij voor fotoboeken op, Chris Boot Ltd. Hij heeft meer dan 50 fotoboeken gepubliceerd, waarvan velen kritisch geprezen zijn en prestigieuze prijzen hebben gewonnen, waaronder de ICP Infinity Awards. Zijn werk richt zich vaak op documentaire fotografie, mensenrechten en historische archieven, waarbij hij belangrijke collecties cureert die de narratieve kracht van visuele storytelling verkennen.[1,2,3,4]
