Frank Horvat

Frank Horvat (1928–2020) was een Italiaanse fotograaf die voornamelijk in Frankrijk woonde en werkte. Hij staat breed bekend om zijn significante bijdragen aan de modefotografie tussen het midden van de jaren 50 en eind jaren 80. Zijn werk kenmerkt zich door een focus op realisme, waarbij hij vrouwen vaak vastlegde in natuurlijke omgevingen in plaats van in sterk gestileerde settings. De carrière van Horvat begon in de fotojournalistiek in Parijs tijdens de jaren 50, waar hij beïnvloed werd door humanistische fotografie voordat hij overstapte naar mode voor publicaties zoals Elle, Vogue en Harper's Bazaar. Hij produceerde ook persoonlijke projecten waarin hij natuur, sculptuur en stedelijke landschappen verkende.
