Gregory Crewdson

Gregory Crewdson is een Amerikaanse fine-art fotograaf die bekendstaat om het creëren van grootschalige, cinematografische en psychologisch geladen geënsceneerde scènes. Zijn werk verkent vaak de kruising tussen het leven in de buitenwijken en surrealisme, waarbij hij complexe productietechnieken gebruikt die vergelijkbaar zijn met filmproductie. Hij stuurt een professioneel team aan, inclusief lichttechnici, setontwerpers en acteurs, om zijn beelden te construeren. Crewdson is professor en directeur van de graduate studies in fotografie aan de Yale School of Art. Hij ontving in 1988 een MFA van Yale en is onderscheiden met talloze prijzen, waaronder de Skowhegan Medal for Photography en fellowships van het National Endowment for the Arts.[1,2]
