John Davies

John Davies is een vooraanstaande Britse landschapsfotograaf die bekendstaat om zijn uitgebreide documentatie van de industriële en post-industriële landschappen van Groot-Brittannië. Zijn werk richt zich vaak op de sociale en historische lagen van de omgeving, waarbij hij menselijke inspanning vastlegt via architectonische kenmerken en veranderende terreinen. In de loop van verschillende decennia heeft hij diverse locaties in kaart gebracht, waaronder de Schotse bergen, het Lake District en verschillende stedelijke centra in Engeland, Wales, Frankrijk en Duitsland. Zijn foto's zijn internationaal tentoongesteld in prestigieuze instellingen zoals het Museum of Modern Art in New York, het Pompidou in Parijs, de Royal Academy en het Victoria and Albert Museum.[1]
