Joseph Florentin Charnaux (1819–1883) was a Swiss bookseller, print dealer, and art object merchant based in Geneva. He established his shop in the Maison des Trois-Rois at Place Bel-Air in 1857. Between 1870 and 1880, he partnered with Henri Simond to create a photography studio. His business was later taken over by his children in 1881, becoming Charnaux Frères & Cie. He is recognized as the founder of the dynasty that produced significant photographic works of Swiss landscapes and monuments.[1]
