Laure Prouvost

Laure Prouvost is een Franse hedendaagse kunstenaar en filmmaker, geboren in 1978. Ze woont en werkt tussen Brussel (België) en Londen (Verenigd Koninkrijk). Als afgestudeerde van Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design staat ze bekend om haar immersieve installaties waarin film, sculptuur, wandtapijt, performance en taal samenkomen. Haar werk verkent vaak thema's als emancipatie, globalisering, feminisme en ecologie. Ze heeft talloze onderscheidingen ontvangen, waaronder de Max-Mara Prize in 2011 en de Turner Prize in 2013.[1]
