Lázaro Blanco Fuentes

Lázaro Blanco Fuentes (1938–2011) was a prominent Mexican photographer, educator, and cultural promoter. Born in Ciudad Juárez, he studied Physics and Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He entered the 'Club Fotográfico de México' in 1966 and became a founding member of the Consejo Mexicano de Fotografía. Blanco is recognized for his documentary work, mastery of light, and significant influence on contemporary photography in Mexico. He directed the Casa del Lago Photography Workshop in Mexico City from 1968 until his death and served as a museographer at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. His work has been exhibited extensively in galleries both domestically and internationally.[1,2,3,4,5]
