Michael Grant Ignatieff

Michael Grant Ignatieff is een Canadese auteur, historicus, academicus en voormalig politicus. Geboren in Toronto bij Russische en Schots-Canadese ouders, studeerde hij aan het Upper Canada College, de University of Toronto en Harvard University, waar hij zijn PhD in geschiedenis behaalde. Hij heeft senior academische posities bekleed bij verschillende prestigieuze instellingen, waaronder de University of Cambridge, de University of Oxford, Harvard University en de University of Toronto. In de Canadese politiek diende hij als leider van de Liberal Party of Canada en Leader of the Official Opposition van 2008 tot 2011.
