Michael Light is een in San Francisco gevestigde fotograaf en boekmaker wiens werk zich richt op het milieu en de relatie tussen de hedendaagse Amerikaanse cultuur en deze omgeving. Als privépiloot en Guggenheim Fellow in fotografie heeft hij wereldwijd tentoonstellingen gehad; zijn werk bevindt zich in belangrijke museumcollecties, waaronder die van het SFMOMA, The Getty Research Institute en het Victoria & Albert Museum.
