Nicolas Comment

Nicolas Comment is een Franse fotograaf en componist-auteur woonachtig in Parijs. Hij studeerde in 1997 af aan de École Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon en in 1999 aan de École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. In 2001 begon hij met het publiceren van fotoboeken, beginnend met "La desserte". Zijn artistieke praktijk omvat vaak visuele poëzie, waarbij hij het snijvlak tussen beelden, literatuur en muziek verkent. Hij staat bekend om fotoboeken zoals "Mexico City Waltz" (2012), dat geïnspireerd werd door zijn residentie in Mexico, en "T(ange)r" (2014). Naast zijn fotografische werk is hij een muzikant die verschillende albums heeft uitgebracht en heeft samengewerkt met diverse kunstenaars. In 2017 ontving hij de "Résidence pour la photographie" prijs van de Fondation des Treilles.[1,2]
