Patricia Bosworth (1933–2020) was een Amerikaanse journalist, biograaf, memoireschrijver en actrice. Geboren als Patricia Crum in Oakland, California, studeerde ze aan Sarah Lawrence College voordat ze een carrière in de acteerkunst nastreefde, waarbij ze onder meer optrad in verschillende Broadway-producties en televisieseries. In het midden van de jaren 60 stapte ze over naar de journalistiek en bekleedde zij diverse redactieposities bij publicaties zoals McCall's, Harper's Bazaar en Vanity Fair. Ze werd breed erkend om haar geprezen biografieën van prominente figuren zoals Montgomery Clift, Diane Arbus, Marlon Brando en Jane Fonda.
