Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen

Sirkka-Liisa Konttinen (geboren als Sirkka-Liisa Roberts; geboren in 1948) is een Finse fotograaf en filmmaker die sinds de jaren 60 in Groot-Brittannië woont en werkt. Ze staat bekend om haar documentairefotografie van het leven van de werkende klasse in North East England, met name in Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne. Haar werk onderzoekt vaak intieme gemeenschapsdynamieken, zoals moeder-dochterrelaties binnen lokale dansscholen. Konttinen was medeoprichter van het Amber collectief en de Side Photographic Gallery. In 2025 ontving zij een MBE voor haar verdiensten voor de fotografie.[1,2]
