In de beste tradities (In the Best Traditions) is a photographic work by Catrien Ariëns published in 1992. The book features approximately 80 full-page black and white photographs capturing the festivals, rituals, and social customs of the Dutch upper class. It was recognized for its artistic merit, winning the first Kees Scherer Prize for the best photobook in the Netherlands in 1991-1992. The work includes a preface by J. L. Heldring and provides a visual exploration of societal traditions through high-quality documentary photography.
