In de Krant (translated as 'In the Newspaper') is a significant work by Dutch conceptual artist Hans Eijkelboom, published in 1978. The book documents a performative project where the artist attempted to appear in the background of newspaper photographs on ten consecutive days, at least once each day. It consists of black-and-white reproductions of these specific newspaper pages, printed on newsprint by Drukkerij van den Dool in Sliedrecht. This edition was limited to 150 copies and is noted for its unique conceptual approach to identity and presence within the public sphere.
