Commissioned by the Rijksmuseum as part of its yearly assignments to photographers, this book documents the development of Dutch society through the medium of photography. It focuses on residential neighborhoods built after World War II, capturing the transition from austerity and functionality in the 1980s back to modern living spaces. The work features photographs by Theo Baart and Cary Markerink, accompanied by texts by Ethel Portnoy and Jan Rutten.
