Belinda Rathbone

Belinda Rathbone is een Amerikaanse kunsthistoricus en biograaf. Ze begon haar carrière in de vroege jaren 70 als fotograaf, waarbij ze prijzen won bij de Photovision '72 wedstrijd van het Boston Center for the Arts. Later stapte ze over naar curatoriale werkzaamheden en bekleedde zij functies bij de Boston Public Library, Polaroid Corporation en het Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Rathbone heeft zich gespecialiseerd in de geschiedenis van de fotografie en biografieën; zij is auteur van talrijke werken, waaronder 'Walker Evans: A Biography' (1995) en 'The Boston Raphael' (2014). Ze staat bekend om haar wetenschappelijke bijdragen aan de studie van de Amerikaanse kunstgeschiedenis en fotografie uit de 20e eeuw.[1]
