Camille Renée Devid is een multidisciplinaire lens-based kunstenaar, geboren in Amsterdam en opgegroeid op Curaçao. Haar praktijk verkent identiteit, geheugen, afkomst en menselijke verbinding door middel van fotografie, archiefmateriaal, zelfportretten, poëzie en schilderkunst. In haar werk wordt het lichaam vaak behandeld als een levend archief waar persoonlijke en collectieve geschiedenissen elkaar kruisen. Ze onderzoekt thema's als migratie, liefde en verlies, waarbij ze kleur en licht gebruikt om onzichtbare verbindingen tussen generaties in kaart te brengen. Devid studeerde in 2013 af aan de Fotoacademie Amsterdam en heeft deelgenomen aan diverse internationale masterclasses en workshops, waaronder bij Antoine D’Agata tijdens Rencontres d’Arles.[1,2]
