David Featherstone

David Featherstone is een Amerikaanse auteur, criticus en fotograaf die sinds eind jaren 70 een prominente figuur is binnen de fotografische gemeenschap. Geboren in Iowa City, Iowa, begon hij in 1977 zijn langdurige professionele samenwerking met 'The Friends of Photography' in Carmel, Californië, waar hij fungeerde als executive associate en directeur van publicaties. Hij is een productieve wetenschapper op het gebied van documentaire fotografie en verantwoordelijk voor het redacteren en schrijven van talrijke belangrijke werken, waaronder 'Observations: Essays on Documentary Photography' (1984), 'The Diana Show' (1980) en 'Close to Home: Seven Documentary Photographers' (1989).
