Desirée Dolron is een Nederlandse fotograaf en fotojournalist, geboren in 1963 in Haarlem. Haar werk verkent vaak complexe thema's als spiritualiteit, religie en het menselijk lichaam. Ze heeft uitgebreid door Afrika en Azië gereisd om religieuze ceremonies en culturele praktijken te documenteren. Haar project 'Exaltation' (2000) onderzoekt specifiek de relatie tussen spirituele verlangens en fysieke sensaties door middel van beelden van religieuze rituelen van diverse etnische groepen.[1,2,3,4,5]
