Estelle Jussim

Estelle Jussim (1927–2004) was een vooraanstaande Amerikaanse kunsthistoricus, schrijver en professor gespecialiseerd in fotografie. Ze gaf meer dan twee decennia les aan het Simmons College in Boston. Jussim werd erkend als een van de meest invloedrijke stemmen op het gebied van fotografie en media; ze schreef uitgebreid over visuele communicatie, fotografische geschiedenis en verschillende stromingen zonder zich te laten beperken door één specifieke kritische ideologie. Haar werk integreerde postmoderne, deconstructivistische en feministische perspectieven. Ze trad op als adviseur voor diverse fotografische archieven.[1,2]
