Jacqueline Hassink
fotograaf
Jacqueline Hassink (1966–2018) was a Dutch visual artist and photographer known for her methodical exploration of global economic power through photography. Although she trained as a sculptor, she gained international recognition with her first major series, 'The Table of Power' (1993–1995), which documented the boardrooms of 21 of Europe's largest multinational corporations. Her work examines how design and symmetry project wealth and dominance in private and public settings. Other notable projects include 'Car Girls', exploring beauty standards across cultures, and 'Female Power Stations: Queen Bees'. Hassink was a visiting lecturer at Harvard University and the International Center for Photography. She died of cancer in 2018.[2,3,4]
