Jonas Bendiksen

Jonas Bendiksen is een Noorse fotojournalist woonachtig nabij Oslo. Hij werd in 1977 geboren in Tønsberg en woonde meerdere jaren in Rusland, wat hem inspireerde tot zijn eerste boek, 'Satellites - Photographs from the Fringes of the former Soviet Union' (2006). Zijn werk verkent vaak sociale overgangen, sloppenwijken en conceptuele fotografie. Bendiksen werd in 2004 genomineerd voor Magnum Photos en trad in 2008 toe als lid, waarna hij in 2010 diende als president. Hij heeft talloze onderscheidingen ontvangen van organisaties waaronder World Press Photo, het International Center of Photography en Pictures of the Year International.[1,2]
