Michael Lesy

Michael Lesy is een Amerikaanse non-fiction schrijver die bekend staat om zijn werk waarin hij historische foto's combineert met originele teksten. Hij groeide op in Shaker Heights, Ohio, en behaalde een B.A. aan de Columbia University, een M.A. aan de University of Wisconsin en een Ph.D. aan de Rutgers University. Van 1990 tot 2020 was hij emeritus professor literair journalistiek aan het Hampshire College. Zijn debuutboek, 'Wisconsin Death Trip' (1973), werd geïnspireerd door zijn studies in de Amerikaanse sociale geschiedenis en werd een cultklassieker vanwege de meeslepende weergave van leven en dood in het landelijke Wisconsin rond de eeuwwisseling.[1,2,3,4]
