Stephen Gill is een Britse fotograaf, geboren in Bristol in 1971. Zijn passie voor fotografie werd aangewakkerd door de invloed van zijn vader en een vroege fascinatie voor insecten en vogels. Hij staat bekend om zijn stille vertrouwen in het toeval en het vermogen om vluchtige emoties vast te leggen door middel van gereduceerde informatie, waarbij hij vaak probeert zijn onderwerpen te eren door de eigen auteurschap los te laten. Zijn werk maakt deel uit van talloze publieke collecties, waaronder de National Portrait Gallery, Tate en het Victoria and Albert Museum. Hij heeft internationaal solo-exposities gepresenteerd op grote festivals zoals Rencontres d'Arles en PHotoEspaña.[1]
