Go-Sees

Go-Sees is a cult photobook by German photographer Juergen Teller that documents the process of 'go-sees'—a ritual where aspiring models are vetted by photographers. Between May 1998 and May 1999, Teller photographed hundreds of girls at the entrance to his studio in West London. The book captures raw, documentary-style images of unknown models at the start of their careers, revealing the intimate and vulnerable nature of the fashion industry's casting process. It is noted for its unique perspective on individual character rather than high-fashion aesthetics.
