In an abandoned house in Calabria (Italy) photographer Petra Stavast found old pictures and letters. She started to search for the people on these pictures and reconstructed the story behind the images.

'Libero' is the name of a family which abandoned their home in Italy and emigrated to America. Stavast photographs the village, the abandoned Libero home, and adds documentation of the Libero family, including the Libero descendants in America.
