This artist book by Swedish photographer Simon Berg offers an intense portrayal of seemingly meaningless everyday routines, using intimate close-ups to reveal a narrative hidden beneath the civilized facade. The work explores a life where every desire is dictated by nature—a nature that constantly tries to escape its own terms. By focusing on these recurring routines, the book reveals how out from the cracks of civilization seeps another story: one where human desires are governed by natural forces. The publication features 42 color pictures and was honored by the Swedish Photobook Prize Jury in 2010.
