Photography: Theo Baart, who grew up in the Haarlemmermeer-erea, an empty polder that was reclaimed in the 19th century, and after 1970 became rapidly urbanized because of the ever growing village of Hoofddorp and expanding Schiphol Airport. Baart for over 20 years photographed the the metamorphosis from countryside to an urbanized region in a series of striking photographs.
