Enomoto has consequently pursued a unique quality in his photography that provides the viewer with an opportunity to dance between reality and imagination while taking in quintessentially Japanese moments. Mesmerising as they are timeless, his photographs record cherry-tree blossomed landscapes, rituals and ceremonies, temples and shrines, powdery snow filled street scenes in Kyoto, and Japanese in traditional costume. The photographs, taken between 1976 and 2008, are stunningly reproduced, presented one to a page, and accompanied by an index of images and a short accompanying text.
