Adam Broomberg is een Zuid-Afrikaanse kunstenaar, docent en activist die momenteel in Berlijn woont. Hij maakte meer dan twee decennia lang deel uit van het internationaal geprezen artistiek duo Broomberg & Chanarin (tot 2021). Zijn praktijk omvat forensische onderzoeken naar het fotografische medium, waarbij hij gebruikmaakt van strategieën variërend van grootformaat analoge film tot algoritmische beelden. Hij is professor fotografie aan verschillende instellingen, waaronder de Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg en het Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche di Urbino. Zijn werk verkent thema's als geweld, autoriteit, politiek en religie.^[1,2]
